Classic Italian old school restaurant from the menu to the wait staff that have probably worked there for decades. There is music and singing and just about everything you would hope for in an establishment like this. Great food and great wine list.

If you had no inkling that this was a gem, you would just walk by and not give it another thought. But, now you know. This is my go to place in Verona….great local food typical of the region and wines for anyone to enjoy. The wait staff are great and engaging and fun…just, genuinely nice people who make you feel at home. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Ristorante Maffei

Located in what appears to be an old palace just on the NW edge of Piazza Erbe, this restaurant offers so many great things in a beautiful setting. You can either go light or heavy fare…cocktails or great wines and the staff is efficient and friendly. It is in the center mass of Verona but because it is tucked into a courtyard, it is out of the noise of the tourist crowd which makes for a lovely respite.
